| Artemio “Tim” N. Dy is a distinguished professional electronics engineer licensed to practice in Philippines and ASEAN nations. A globally recognized CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Tim graduated his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1994 at the University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu City, Philippines. Currently connected with the Saudi’s telecom giant, Saudi Telecom Company since 2001, where he held the position as Network Engineer, one of the member of the elite group responsible to mapped, design and cross-connect the Circuit Work Order (CWO), in such a prompt and accurate manner in order to deliver to the customer in an urgent response time. The task was highly coordinated by various vendors such as Alcatel-Lucent, SEIMENS, HUAWEI, etc. under the Network Implementation department. These network capacity ranges from the entire Saudi Telecom backbone network from DWDM(10Gbit/s-400Gbit/s, SDH, Microwave (155Mbits/s) to down multiplexer interfacing the customer equipment in 16Gbit/s, 155Mb/s, 34Mb/s, 2Mb/s capacities. For the past 4 years became a member of the STC’s MPLS Network Integration team with the task configuring and troubleshoot the latest LTE 4G, 3G, 2G, Wifi technologies with latest CISCO System’s Routing and Switching equipment and also for Huawei’s Routing equipment. Last 1999, He landed in Saudi Arabia to become a Transmission Engineer under Site Engineering department with the prestigious Company’s name, LUCENT Technologies INT’L INC, a legitimate sub-contractor of Saudi Telecom Company. His main task is to create the Method of Procedures (MoP) to be followed by the Technician on site with the STC’s Project on TEP6 & 7 GSM expansion project. These includes the preparations of Office Data Manuals (ODM) & Manual of Procedures (MoP) on LD-DMW, JUNCTION, & LD-FON Sites. Engineering prior to the incoming Installations/Implementation, Commissioning & Preliminary Acceptance Test (PAT), these includes the preparations of Equipment Floorplans, Site layout plans for each particular sites & also for its Systems connectivity that includes the System Diagrams, Ring Diagrams, Frequency Plan,Radio (NERA 155Mbit/s) connectivity, Multiplexer Interfaces (ISM, ADM4/1, ADM16/1) towards DACS 4/4/1 via SLM 16. DWDM Fiber optic backbone using OLS80G, OLS400G & OLS10G & other DWDM Equipment. TV & AM CODEC equipment connectivity, CT-800 router & RMNU for alarms, DDF connectivity of all equipment on site such as Radio, Multiplexer (ADM), TV & AM CODECS and all other Interface equipment towards the other interface sites. Became the Team Leader in the LD-DMW Group, Transmission section. Before he went to Saudi Arabia and after passing the board exam, He was employed as Radio communications Engineer at Liberty Telecoms, Philippines, with the task of Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Preventive & Corrective Maintenance of VERSAPHONE Trunking System using MPT 1327 protocol (A phone patch Radio System), analog WLL, multiplexers, SDH/PDH digital microwaves (SIEMENS), tuning procedure of multicouplers, combiners, preselectors, cable and antenna system testing. In all LUZON area of coverage. Responsible for the Instalallation, Commissioning, Preventive & Corrective Maintenance of “LIBERTYPHONE”, a wireless telephone (WLL) for LUZON, VISAYAS & MINDANAO. These system includes a conventional Trunking Radio (Kyodo KG110H UHF/VHF), a (Selectone ST859RP) Radio Telephone Controllers. In 2015, became a Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) after some rigorous preparations and satisfactorily complying all the requirement by the Board of Electronics Engineers of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and simultaneously awarded as an ASEAN Engineer by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) after satisfying the prerequisite of obtaining the Professional Electronics Engineer level and other requirements set by the Council. Had actively participated in a Professional and Faith organization. Currently held the position of Auditor of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Central Region Chapter (IECEP-KSA-CRC), 2017.
