Rico M. Soriano, a dedicated professional with almost 17 years of experience in the Philippines and the Middle East mostly in the Telecoms Industry. His areas of expertise mainly for Mobile Telecommunication Network, MW Radio Planning/Design, Technical Support of MW link and Field Quality Assurance and Project & Operation Management for Mobile Network. Aside from his technical ability and knowledge, he has excellent organizational skills. His years of experience has proven his adaptability and ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and effectively. His exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills makes him capable of concentrating and working under pressure to meet deadlines. His project and people management skills add to his ability to work well within a team.
While working in the Philippines as Technical Support, he was deployed in different countries in Asia and attended several trainings in Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Working in the Middle East, one of his major achievement was when he spearheaded his Transmission Team in building a MW transmission backhaul for GSM/UMTS Network for 6 months in Bahrain for the 2nd Mobile operator. Another was when he led the Transmission Team to overhaul the MW transmission in launching the state of the art LTE Network in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia last 2011. These 2 milestone marks the company’s accomplishment and goals. Rico studied at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila. In 1997, he co-founded the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Help, Assist, Mobilize – Radio Communications Group Incorporated (PUPHAM-RCG INC), a non-profit, university based organization engaged in university and public service through radio communications. Since then PUPHAM-RCG have developed the expertise of pooling manpower in limited amount of time and setting up communication equipment both for land based fixed and mobile station. PUPHAM-RCG INC now has almost 300 members and volunteers and regarded as one of the most important organizations in the university. In 1999, he graduated and finished his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering degree. He acquired his Electronics and Communications Engineer license from the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) in 2000. He upgraded his license to a Professional Electronics Engineer (PECE) and acquired his certification as an Asean Engineer (AE) in 2016. He is also a registered Electronics Engineer from the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). He is one of the Board of Directors in the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) KSA – Riyadh Chapter. Contact Information: |
